Fund Raising Web Application Using Digital Payment

This article, and the thesis that it is based upon, addresses an important matter. There are a lot of good causes in the world for people who want to help others by donating money. If someone decides to help, the process should be easy and smooth, both the donating and the creating of a donation post. The result of the thesis is a prototype for a smooth process. There are still things to improve on before it can be published, but it's a good start.

In today’s digital age, fundraising goes beyond traditional door-to-door advertising and bake sales methods. With the advent of fundraising websites, individuals, nonprofits, and organizations can easily collect donations for their causes and projects. These websites provide a platform for individuals to connect with donors worldwide, making fundraising more accessible and efficient. Fundraising websites have revolutionized the way people donate to causes and projects. In the past, fundraising was a tedious and time-consuming process that required much tedious work. The purpose of this fundraising website is to provide a platform for individuals and communities to raise funds for specific causes and projects. The site acts as a bridge between donors and fundraisers, making donating to causes close to their hearts easy. The fundraising website allows fundraisers to create personalized campaigns and share their stories. The platform will enable users to provide detailed information about the project, including how much money is needed, how the funds will be used, and the impact of the project. Donors can easily search for causes that match their interests and values and donate directly to the campaign of their choice. A fundraising website can provide transparency and accountability by giving donors clear information about the mission, goals, and finances of the organization.

Purpose of Fundraising Website

The purpose and rationale can be anything, but the main point is that this website is simple and easy to use. Figure 1 shows an example of a front page with simple straightforward features. One of the primary purposes of a fundraising website is its global reach. Fundraisers can use the Internet to connect with donors around the world.

This is especially beneficial for causes and projects that require large sums of money. For example, a nonprofit working to build schools in developing countries can easily connect with donors worldwide, helping them reach their fundraising goals. Fundraising websites make it easy for donors to contribute to good causes. Donors can easily donate to campaigns that match their interests and values with just a few clicks. This accessibility is essential for donors who cannot attend the event or fundraiser in person. Finally, a fundraising website ensures transparency in the donation process. Fundraisers can provide regular updates on the campaign’s progress and reassure donors that their donations are making a difference. The site also includes information about fees associated with using the platform, so donors clearly understand how their money is used.  The advantages of the fundraising website include:

  • Simplicity of giving
  • People can focus on what to donate rather than how to present the amount
  • People can see how much money has already been raised.
  • Secure payment system

Features of Fundraising Website

There are thousands of fundraising website portals on the internet around the globe, but a successful fundraising website must include certain features. People should be able to donate to campaigns that align with their interests and values. The donation process must also be secure, giving the donor peace of mind when donating online. Fundraising websites typically offer payment gateways that accept various payment methods, such as credit cards and PayPal. A fundraising website provides a way to manage donors and their donations. Fundraisers can track who donated to the campaign and how much they donated. This information is essential for recognizing donor contributions. Fundraisers can provide detailed information about the project, including how the funds are being used and the impact of the project. Fundraisers can even add photos and videos to tell their stories and connect with donors. Figure 2 shows test examples of what donation posts might look like.

Conclusion

In summary, fundraising websites have become essential tools for individuals, nonprofits, and organizations looking to raise money for their causes and projects. With features such as campaign creation, payment processing, donor management, fundraising analytics, social media integration, fundraising tools, and support, these sites offer an efficient and effective way to make a difference. Whether raising money for medical expenses, community projects, or humanitarian causes, this fundraising website provides a platform to create successful campaigns and connect with donors worldwide.

Finally, a word of caution. There might also be some drawbacks to online donation requests. Some websites often don’t provide as much information about their cause as offline charities. Being online can make it much harder to determine if your donation will truly be helping those who need it most. Donating to a great cause is always a good thing to do, but you should make sure that you are donating to a cause that needs your money.
